Prevention is better than cure; and this holds true for parasites in South East Queensland. Parasite control is split into four categories in our local area - ticks, fleas, heartworm & intestinal worms.
Your dog or cat could come into contact with these parasites in many different ways and they do not need to leave the home to do so.
There are many different preventative health products on the market to keep pets safe from these parasites - these come in many different forms, such as spot-ons, tablets, chews and pastes. Parasite control protocols are different (and more frequent) for puppies & kittens, compared to adult animals.
